Become a mentor!
PMI Romania Chapter wants to offer a mentoring program in which chapter members are partners with certified professionals dedicated to receiving individual attention and guidance related to career aspirations, professional development and networks, as well as to obtain valuable information about project management certification.
Objectives
The mentoring program aims to develop the project management skills of the mentoring, as well as to support career development. The aims and objectives of the Mentor-Mentee relationship:
- Establishing the practice of individual mentoring
- Contributed to the individual development of the participants by developing the set of empathic skills
- Supporting the development of talent triangle skills
- Providing opportunities for professional network development and earning PDUs
The role of the mentor
Being a mentor provides an opportunity for project management practitioners to share their knowledge, skills, and experience with beginners in project management. The mentor will act as a model to help a learner in his personal and professional development, sharing knowledge, helping to clarify the career path and achieve goals. The program provides an opportunity for mentors to develop their own established mentoring style and light skills while influencing the new generation of project managers.
Eligibility criteria and responsibilities of mentors
- Active member of the PMI Romania Chapter
- Holding a certification recognized by PMI
- Participation in person or online in monthly meetings (3 to 6 meetings for 1-2 hours during the cycle)
- Providing advice and encouragement for the mentee
- Completing the survey at the end of the mentoring cycle
The role of the mentee
Being a mentee is an opportunity to experiment, understand and learn from a professional with well-established experience in project management. One-on-one mentor-learner relationship offers each participant the opportunity to receive individual attention and guidance tailored to their personal needs and aspirations
Eligibility criteria and learners’ responsibilities
- Active member of the PMI Romania Chapter
- Participation in person or online in monthly meetings (3 to 6 meetings for 1-2 hours during the cycle)
- Active participation in the relationship led by mentors, coordinating the meeting and preparing the topics for discussion
- Completing the survey at the end of the mentoring cycle
